The present committee continues the work of the original founders but there have been many notable Bradfordians who have been associated with the Club in its century and more of service. People such as Margaret Macmillan, the pioneering educationalist. William Whitehead of the great Mill owning family, Sir W. E. B. Priestley. A number of Bradford Lord Mayors have been committee members and other notable citizens.

Some of our committee have been former recipients of the Club’s assistance who have “made good” in later life. However the majority of our members over the years have been the private citizens of Bradford who simply want to help others less fortunate than themselves.
