Bradford Cinderella Club is fortunate to have a very prudent and successful Treasurer. By a implementing a sale of Hest Bank and a sound investment policy since the cash strapped days in the early seventies, he has established a sizable fund from which interest is generated to fund underprivileged children.

Unfortunately, recent parameters in finance have led to a significant decline in the amount of expendable income, the money we are able to use for funding. Down in the last five years from approximately fifty thousand pounds per years, to what will be only fifteen thousand pounds in the coming years, all as a result of low interest rates.

As a result, the Club is seeking ways to secure additional income to enable the work to continue for as long as its is needed by the children of Bradford. Any contribution you can make will be gladly received, in the knowledge that you will be helping children in difficult circumstances.

The Club provides funding to a veriety of causes, from children’s holiday camps, Christmas party’s, community day trips in the poorer areas of the city, as well as a raft of other activities.
The largest project funded by the Club is the Life Education Unit which was purchased by the Club in

| 1999 at a cost of fifty thousand pounds. The whole ethos of the donation being to educate youngsters about the issues of life, mainly drug related. It was felt that such an investment would pay dividends if in the longer term children could be made aware of the dangers now. |
